I, Joni Poole, created this sand tray at the Sunshine House. Sand trays are used in counseling to represent what has, or is happening, in a person's life. Objects and figures symbolize different things and have many meanings. Often times when the person creating the sand tray places objects and figures in the tray, the figures will later reveal something that was buried within the unconscious mind.
I, Joni Poole, created this clay scene at the Sunshine House. These kinds of scenes are often created in Play Therapy. Play Therapy allows children to show what has happened to them if they can not find the words to explain it. Play therapy can also allow children to release their anger and emotions in a positive way, as I have done here.
