Sexual Abuse, Assault, and Rape Awareness
About Us
Who am I?
My name is Joni Nicole Poole. I am 18 years old. I am not just another crazy college kid. I have standards and beliefs that I uphold. Although, I am a very insecure person. I am finally allowing new people into my life. I am starting to let my walls come down. I have put up walls through out my life. I have been hurt by too many people. I refuse to let that EVER happen again. Everyone I have ever known has let me down, but that all is changing. I am now in control of my life. I realize that I have the power to control what happens in my life and who I allow to be in my life.
I do like to have fun and be sociable occasionally, but I also like to be smart about the decisions that I make. I am currently in college. I am working towards becoming a counselor. I stand up for what is right and I treat everyone equally. I do not care if you are male, female, adult, child, black, white, gay, or straight, you deserve to be treated right and you do NOT deserve to be abused. YOU ARE WORTH IT.
I will not allow anyone to mistreat me. I will not put up with any form of abuse. I will treat you right, but I do expect to be treated the same way. I have a strong dislike for cheaters and liars. To be in my life is a privilege. Treat every opportunity I allow you to have around around me that way, because you may never get to be around me again. I reserve the right to revoke your privilege.
I am the Founder, Manager, and Designer of Sexual Abuse, Assault, and Rape Awareness (S.A.A.R.A.). The website is www.saaraonline.org. I work with thousands of individuals. I also work with many organizations including The Sunshne House Regional Children's Advocacy Center and the Statesboro Regional Sexual Assault Center. Together we create support systems and promote awareness.
